Offers scholarships to 4th year medical students and 3rd year residents in Iowa who show a strong desire to practice in rural areas of Iowa upon completion of their training.

- Requirements for residents (R3): Completing an Iowa residency program in 2026 Locating in a practice in a rural Iowa setting under 26,000 population Membership in the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians/American Academy of Family Physicians (IAFP/AAFP) Demonstrated scholarship and achievement in medical school Requirements for students (M4): Medical student graduating from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine or Des Moines University Entering an Iowa Family Medicine Residency program in 2026 Membership in the IAFP/AAFP Demonstrated scholarship and achievement in medical school

Iowa Dental Education Loan Repayment Program/FIND Project

- Award or benefit
- $200,000 over a 5-year period for a dentist serving in a high-priority county. $125,000 over a 5-year period for a dentist serving in a priority or non-designated county. A $5,000 local match is required.

USDA may repay up to $40,000 per year for at least three years of service in a designated veterinary shortage situation.
