Iowa Farm Bureau Rural Medicine Scholarship for M4 Students and R3 Residents

Offers scholarships to 4th year medical students and 3rd year residents in Iowa who show a strong desire to practice in rural areas of Iowa upon completion of their training.

Requirements for residents (R3): Completing an Iowa residency program in 2026 Locating in a practice in a rural Iowa setting under 26,000 population Membership in the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians/American Academy of Family Physicians (IAFP/AAFP) Demonstrated scholarship and achievement in medical school Requirements for students (M4): Medical student graduating from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine or Des Moines University Entering an Iowa Family Medicine Residency program in 2026 Membership in the IAFP/AAFP Demonstrated scholarship and achievement in medical school
