Utah Rural Physician Loan Repayment Program

Educational loan repayment assistance for physicians who contract to work in a rural hospital in Utah for a minimum of 2 years.

Who may qualify
Eligible applicants are licensed physicians in the state of Utah who agree to work in an approved rural hospital for at least 2 years. Eligible providers include: Primary care Obstetrics and gynecology General surgeons Orthopedic surgeons Pediatrics Internal medicine
Award or benefit
Up to $40,000 a year for up to 2 years The employer is required to provide a 1:1 match. If the employer agrees, recipients may also be eligible for a one year extension. The total possible award amount for this program is up to $120,000.
